The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has announced a discount on premium and non-AC bus services to attract more passengers during the travel off-season.

The fare reduction has been rolled out by the Mangaluru division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, covering key routes between coastal Karnataka and Bengaluru. The revised fares came into effect from January 5, and will remain applicable through the January-March period.

Why KSRTC Is Offering Discounts Now

According to KSRTC officials, passenger demand typically dips during the first quarter of the year. While premium service fares are usually increased by 10–15% during peak travel months such as April to June and October to December, the off-season allows room for competitive pricing.

Officials added that weekend fares may still see partial increases depending on demand.
