At Busworld 2025 in Brussels, JBM Electric Vehicles unveiled the all-electric JBM ECOLIFE e12 city bus, marking a major milestone in the company’s European expansion.

Earlier in June, JBM officially entered the European market with the launch of its complete e-mobility ecosystem at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2025 in Hamburg, Germany.

The launch was led by Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the $3.3 billion JBM Group, as the company positions itself as a global leader in sustainable public transport.

Zero-Emission Mobility with Practical Range

The JBM ECOLIFE e12 is a fully electric, zero-emission city bus designed for European urban environments. It offers a range of up to 400 kilometers on a single charge and supports ultra-fast charging, ensuring high uptime and operational flexibility for transit agencies.

Built with a lightweight monocoque stainless steel body, the bus combines strength, efficiency, and sustainability. Inside, the ECOLIFE e12 features eco-conscious materials, such as seats made from recycled materials and fabrics produced from recycled yarn, aligning with the company’s Net Zero commitment.

Safety and Smart Technology at Its Core

The JBM ECOLIFE e12 is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance features. At the heart is its proprietary Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), helping reduce human error and enhancing urban road safety.

  • Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS)
  • Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System (FVCWS)
  • Lane Departure Warning System

The bus also integrates an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) compliant with EU standards and features advanced telematics for real-time vehicle diagnostics and fleet monitoring.

European Headquarters and Global Footprint

In conjunction with the launch, JBM Electric Vehicles announced the opening of its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, which will serve as the company’s central hub for sales, marketing, aftersales support, and strategic partnerships across the European Union.

Globally, JBM has deployed or is executing contracts for over 11,000 electric buses, supported by what it claims to be the world’s largest dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility outside China — located in India, with an annual capacity of 20,000 units.

Over the past five years, JBM’s electric buses have covered 200 million electric kilometers, transported more than 1 billion passengers, and helped avoid over 1 billion kilograms of CO₂ emissions.

Integrated Ecosystem for Zero-Downtime Transit

Also showcased at the event was JBM E-Verse, the company’s integrated EV ecosystem platform. E-Verse encompasses:

  • Fast-charging infrastructure
  • Lithium-ion battery systems
  • Power infrastructure for zero-downtime operations

This ecosystem reflects JBM’s holistic approach to electrification, covering vehicles, infrastructure, and digital support in one seamless offering.
