GSRTC Sachivalay Point Bus Service Launched

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the GSRTC Sachivalay Point bus service in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar on February 19.

A total of 70 new buses were launched that will be deployed by the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) on the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar route.

The GSRTC Sachivalay Point bus service is a point-to-point bus service that aims to facilitate transportation for employees across offices in Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar.

The GSRTC Sachivalay Point bus service is anticipated to provide transportation for the five thousand Karma Yogis working in offices across Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar.

Furthermore, this transportation service will cater to the needs of regular citizens from across the state who visit the Secretariat for their business or presentations.

The event was attended by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Shankar Chaudhary, along with cabinet ministers.

GSRTC’s Commitment to Passenger Convenience

GSRTC Sachivalay Point Bus Service Launched

In addition to the GSRTC Sachivalay Point bus service, the Gujarat State Transport Corporation operates a daily fleet of over 8 thousand buses, covering 33 lakh kilometers and serving more than 25 lakh passengers with safety, security, and punctuality to their destinations.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the state government plans to acquire new buses annually to enhance passenger convenience, with financial assistance provided to the corporation.

A new GSRTC Rajkot to Ahmedabad Airport Volvo bus service was also launched on February 7.

According to the budget allocation for 2022-23 and 2023-24, a total of 2,812 new vehicles including Super Express, Gurjar Nagri, and Sleeper buses will be introduced for passenger service.

Among these, 70 buses have been inaugurated for the GSRTC Sachivalay Point bus service at a cost of Rs 26 crores, launched by the Chief Minister.

Guided by Shri Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of State for Transport, the ST Corporation has already deployed 1520 new buses for public service in the past 14 months.

Additionally, the corporation plans to introduce more such new bus services in the future to enhance passenger convenience.

The event was attended by Shri M. K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Transport, Shri Ashok Sharma from the ST Corporation, Vice-Chairman, Administrative Manager, along with senior officials, MLAs, office-bearers, and Karmayogis.
