The luxury Volvo bus service will connect the city of Rajkot to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
While Volvo buses were from Rajkot to Ahmedabad city, this marks the first direct service to the airport from Rajkot.
Previously, travelers had to board a bus to Iskcon (crossroads) and then hire an expensive taxi to reach the airport.
This traditional route from Rajkot to the airport took around five hours. According to officials, this new GSRTC Rajkot to Ahmedabad Airport Volvo bus service will take around four hours.
It promises a more affordable and convenient option for travelers.

In a statement to the media, J B Karotra, the GSRTC Rajkot Divisional Controller, highlighted that a significant number of individuals, particularly businessmen and tourists, frequently commute from Rajkot to the Ahmedabad airport.
He emphasized that this bus service provides a convenient option for travelers, enabling them to comfortably catch early morning flights.
