A wild elephant went on a rampage on a highway in Andhra Pradesh’s Parvathipuram Manyam district, blocking the road and creating panic among people.
In a video, the wild was seen ramming into a private bus, damaging the windshield, and chasing people.
A male elephant, separated from its herd of eight, came onto the road and displayed its brute strength against a private bus, which was parked on the side due to a technical issue.
The bus was heading towards Rayagada in Odisha from Parvathipuram in Andhra Pradesh when the driver had to stop the bus due to some technical problem.
The video shows the elephant running towards the bus, smashing the windshield with its trunk and pushing it.
The passengers, in panic, fled from there. The elephant was then seen chasing a few people who were shouting and trying to deter it with a stick.
No one was injured during the incident.
The rampage also led to a huge traffic jam on the Parvathipuram-Rayagada highway.
