ElectriGo has officially entered India’s electric bus market with the launch of its electric bus leasing platform on December 17, 2025. The platform is aimed at private bus operators looking to transition to cleaner mobility without high upfront costs.

The launch marks a key step in accelerating the commercial adoption of electric buses in the country.

As part of this rollout, ElectriGo has also delivered the first tranche of 10 electric buses to Green Energy Mobility Solutions Ltd (GEMS). This delivery forms part of a 50-bus deployment agreement formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by both companies on August 1, 2025, at the Passenger Vehicle Expo in Chennai.

These buses will be operated with full maintenance and operational support from ElectriGo, ensuring high uptime and consistent fleet performance for the operator.

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to scaling electric mobility across public and contract transportation segments.

ElectriGo’s Full-Stack Leasing Model

ElectriGo offers a comprehensive leasing solution that combines vehicle financing with charging infrastructure, proactive maintenance, and real-time telematics. This model is designed to reduce operational risk and improve cost predictability for private operators adopting electric buses.

The company was incubated from Turno, India’s electric small commercial vehicle platform, founded in 2021 by former Zoomcar executives Hemanth Aluru and Sudhindra Reddy. ElectriGo was launched in 2024 with a focus on medium and heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles, including buses.

Sudhindra Reddy Pidapa, Co-founder of ElectriGo, said the partnership reflects a shared intent to make electric buses commercially viable. He noted that ElectriGo’s technology-backed leasing and operations model is designed to simplify adoption for operators across India.

“This MoU reflects our shared commitment to advancing cleaner, cost-efficient mobility and making electric buses commercially viable for operators across India.”
