Pema Khandu Launches 10 EKA Electric Buses in Arunachal Pradesh
Arunachal Pradesh gets its first electric buses as CM Khandu flagged off 10 EKA electric buses on account of World Environment Day.

Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu launched 10 EKA electric buses in Arunachal Pradesh’s state capital, Itanagar, on June 5, on account of World Environment Day.
These are also the first electric buses in the state of Arunachal and are expected to boost sustainable and inclusive city transport in the northeastern state. While the deal was facilitated by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), EKA has partnered with Chartered Speed to deliver these buses.

The EKA E9 buses are 9 meters long with a 900mm floor height, making them easy to board. Designed and made in India, the EKA electric buses are well-suited to Arunachal Pradesh’s public transit needs in its challenging terrain.
