ALL NEW TATA ULTRA LAUNCHED IN SOUTH AFRICA
Tata Motors, one of the leading commercial vehicle brands in South Africa, showcased two new variants of its highly popular Tata Ultra Range of trucks at Futuroad Expo, Johannesburg, South Africa – Tata Ultra Plus 1418 and the Tata Ultra 814 AMT.
While the Tata Ultra AMT 814 is a variant of the existing Ultra range, the Tata Ultra Plus 1418 is a completely new model complimenting the HCV range of Ultra offerings. The Tata Ultra range is specially aimed for discerning customers looking for ease of operations and lowest cost of operations. With star features in performance, versatility comfort and style, the Tata Ultra Truck range is ideal for large fleet, captive users, fleet rental companies or logistics companies.
Ultra Plus 1418
Powered by the Tata New Gen 5.0L Common Rail Engine, the Tata Ultra Plus 1418 is a multipurpose offering in HCV range that will be available in the wheelbase options of 4900 and 5300 mm. The vehicle will offer a payload capacity between 7-8T making it ideal for both medium and short haul distribution. The Tata Ultra Plus 1418 gives a unique value for money proposition.
Apart from this, showcased models include Tata Ultra 1014 (5.5T) and three models from the Prima range – Tata Prima 2528.K6 x4 Tipper, Tata Prima 3338.K 8×4 Tipper and Tata Prima 4938.S.
Tata Prima Range of Trucks
Developed with Tata Motors subsidiary – Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicles (TDCV), the Tata Prima Truck range is also referred to as the ‘World-Smart Truck’. The Tata PRIMA is based on an Italian cab design, with engine technology from the U.S, gearbox expertise from the U.S. and Germany, chassis frame know-how from Mexico and sheet metal dies from Japan and Korea, combined with Swedish precision on a robotic weld line. The entire range will set new benchmarks in styling and features, with a combination of power, world-class performance, fuel efficiency, superior technology and safety, uncompromisingly built for long-distance and long hours of transportation.
