Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Las Vegas—marking a pivotal moment in U.S. transit history.

The new Alexander Dennis Las Vegas manufacturing facility is now the only site in the United States building double-decker buses. Alexander Dennis also handed out the first two out of ten new Enviro500 buses to the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC).

Strengthening North America’s Transit Industry

  • The Alexander Dennis’ Las Vegas facility will design, assemble, and deliver double-deck buses specifically for the North American market.
  • Built with a $15.3 million investment, the plant reaffirms Alexander Dennis’ commitment to U.S. manufacturing and transit development.
  • Production capacity starts at 1 bus per week, ramping up to 1.5 per week by 2026, enabling annual production of 75 double-decker buses.
  • More than $5.5 million has already been spent with local suppliers over the last year.

First Deliveries: Enviro500 for RTC’s Iconic Deuce Route

The initial two buses handed over to RTC will serve the famous Deuce on the Strip route. Key features of these Buy America-compliant buses include:

  • Length: 42’ 5’’ (12.9 meters)
  • Height: 13’ 6’’ (4.115 meters)
  • Capacity: 100 passengers
    • Upper Deck: 51 seats
    • Lower Deck: 15 fixed seats, 7 tip-up seats, 2 wheelchair spaces
  • Access: Dual staircases for upper deck entry

These buses join 40 Enviro500s already in the RTC fleet, with another 10 ordered for 2026 delivery.
