A massive fire broke out at a bus depot in Karnataka‘s Veerabhadra Nagar, resulting in severe damage to several buses.
Even though firefighters reached the site on time and actively worked to extinguish the flames, the Veerabhadra Nagar Bus Depot fire in Bengaluru destroyed 22 buses as of 8 PM, October 30.
Eyewitnesses captured footage showing thick plumes of smoke billowing into the air as the fire raged.

Cause of the Veerabhadra Nagar Bus Depot Fire
The cause of the Veerabhadra Nagar Bus Depot fire has been traced to a welding job on a parked bus within the Veerabhadra Nagar garage.
Authorities are diligently working to uncover more details about the incident, promising further updates as the investigation progresses.
A senior police officer told PTI, “Initial investigations suggest that a spark from the welding machine initiated the fire, subsequently spreading to other parked buses, resulting in extensive damage. The fire department mobilized multiple fire tenders to extinguish the flames.”
Out of the 35 buses at the garage, 18 were entirely consumed by the fire, while four sustained partial damage.
In total, 22 buses were affected by the blaze.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported at this time, offering a silver lining amidst the concerning incident.
