As per reports, each DTC bus will be equipped with 10 Panic Buttons, 5 on each side along with best IP CCTV cameras with real time monitoring.
19 June 2019: The Government of India is in the final rounds of finalizing to equip DTC and Cluster buses with CCTV cameras and Panic Buttons. In wake of the recent rise of incidents of crime, especially against women in the National Capital, this comes as a welcome step.
Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, at the behest of the Chief Secretary, has called for an urgent meeting with the transport department, Delhi Police and all allied Government departments in a bid to finalize the development.
As per reports, there each bus will be equipped with 10 Panic Buttons, 5 on each side in a bid to ensure safety of passengers, particularly women. Also, a two way communication system is expected to be deployed to ensure instant action.
In times of emergency, the control room can monitor the bus in real time utilizing the installed CCTV cameras.

As of now, about 5,500 buses will be included in the first phase of the project.
