JBM Auto has reported a 24% market share in India’s electric bus segment for FY26, with 1,282 buses registered across multiple states, including Telangana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Assam.
The company also highlighted its presence across both public transport and private mobility segments.
The company stated that the orders and deployments were driven through ongoing procurement programs and partnerships with state transport undertakings and private operators.
This reflects increasing consolidation in the electric bus segment, with a few OEMs gaining scale across both public transport and specialised mobility applications.

Strong Presence Across Specialised Segments
JBM Auto reported a dominant position in the electric tarmac bus segment, with over 79% market share. The company also claimed over 50% share in the intercity luxury coach segment.
These segments, while smaller in volume compared to city bus deployments, indicate growing diversification in electric bus applications beyond urban public transport.
