SETC Sabarimala Special Buses 2024 Announced from Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai
To help pilgrims travel safely and comfortably to the famous Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has announced special bus services for the pilgrimage season.
The SETC Sabarimala special buses will operate from various cities, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Cuddalore, and Madurai, from November 15 until January 16. These buses offer an affordable and convenient travel option for devotees visiting the temple.

Comfortable Travel Options with SETC Buses
SETC Managing Director R Mohan has announced that the corporation will operate several types of buses to meet the diverse needs of pilgrims. The special buses include:
- Ultra Deluxe Buses: For those who prefer a more comfortable, luxurious journey.
- Normal Sleeper Buses: For travelers looking for budget-friendly options with comfortable reclining seats.
- Semi-Sleeper Buses: A middle ground between the deluxe and sleeper buses for those who want a balance of comfort and affordability.
With these different options, SETC Sabarimala special buses are designed to cater to the varying preferences of the pilgrims.

SETC Sabarimala Special Buses Online Booking
Pilgrims can book their tickets for the special buses easily in advance. The SETC Sabarimala special buses will be available for booking up to 60 days before the travel date.
Tickets can be booked through the official TNSTC website or via the TNSTC mobile apps. This makes it easy for passengers to plan their travel well in advance.

Route and Drop-off Details
The buses will operate on routes from cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Cuddalore, and Madurai.
All buses will drop passengers at Nilakkal, which is the closest drop-off point to the Sabarimala temple. From Nilakkal, pilgrims can board Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses to reach Pamba, which is the final stop before the temple.
Special Service Break for Temple Closure
It’s important to note that the Sabarimala temple will remain closed from December 27 to December 30 for annual rituals.
During this period, SETC Sabarimala special buses will not operate from December 26 to December 29. However, the services will resume immediately after this closure, ensuring that pilgrims can continue their journey to the temple.
