DELHI GETS NEW WOMEN FRIENDLY BUSES

The AAP has plans to flag off a total of 4,000 new buses including 1,000 e-buses by mid 2020 in New Delhi
This comes as a super good news not only to commuters of Delhi/NCR but also to bus fans and enthusiasts across the state and the country. Current Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Tuesday, 20th August 2019 inducted the first lot of a fleet of 25 new standard floor buses after a gap of eight years in New Delhi.

All the Buses are fully AC and are equipped with GPS, CCTV cameras and rear surveillance cameras. More over, as promised, the new buses will feature Panic Buttons, aimed specially to ensure women safety.

Also, for the first time in history, the new lot of buses also features hydraulic lifts for differently-abled persons.
The process for procurement of 1,000 low floor buses each for DTC and DIMTS is also underway.
