In a bid to encourage greater public transport use, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has launched a dedicated weekly pass for its premium Vajra bus services. The new initiative is aimed at providing better value and convenience to regular passengers navigating Bengaluru’s increasingly congested roads.

  • Price: ₹750
  • Validity: 7 days (from date of purchase)
  • Coverage:
    • Unlimited travel on Vajra, Ordinary, and Express BMTC buses
    • Does not include toll charges
  • Additional Charges:
    • ₹10 service charge for Vajra Express routes
    • Standard toll fees to be paid separately
  • Exclusions:
    • Not valid on Vayu Vajra (airport services)
    • Not applicable for other special services

  • The pass is available exclusively via the Tummoc mobile app, allowing for a seamless and paperless transaction experience.

BMTC Expands Network with New Bus Route 600-A

Alongside the new Vajra pass, BMTC has announced a fresh addition to its non-AC route lineup, Route 600-A, to further strengthen intra-city connectivity.

Route 600-A Details:

  • Start & End Points: Banashankari to AECS Layout
  • Major Stops Covered:
    • Kudlu Gate
    • Bommanahalli
    • BTM Layout
    • Ragigudda
  • Frequency:
    • 10 trips daily
    • 5 in each direction
  • Bus Allocation: 1 non-AC vehicle assigned

This new route is targeted at last-mile commuters and is expected to ease transit across densely populated southern corridors of the city.
